Jamie Adams Jamie Adams was born in Summit New Jersey, and lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. He has his BFA and MFA from Boston University and has exhibited locally and internationally. His paintings and drawings that give reverence to time-bound objects and to ever-changing views of the Los Angeles sky. Adams’ work gives a sense of timelessness to inherently time-specific subjects. The layering of paints and finishes builds a mythological space along with its hues. In paintings of sunsets Adams’ highlights the ephemeral qualities of light as it changes through the day, particular to Southern California. The seductive colors in the paintings draw you in much like the draw of a paradiso Los Angeles. RECENT AND UPCOMING EXHIBITIONS: June 21- July 26 2008 darkness will find you.
